Home remedies for Acne

Hydration

Keep your body hydrated, the more you drink water the more your body excretes waste materials and keeps the pores clean

Face Masks

  • Honey and Cinnamon Mask:
  1. Mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of honey to make a homogeneous paste.
  2. Clean your face and apply the mask to let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Wash well and pat dry. Do not rub your skin.
  • Aloe Vera gel Mask:
  1. Peel off hard part of an Aloe Vera stem, cut in cubes and put it in a refrigerator.
  2. Take out a piece and rub it onto the acne area. It will not only lower down the temperature but also help in clearing up the spots.
  3. Repeat twice a day.
  • Sugar Mask:
  1. Mix equal parts of sugar and coconut oil.
  2. Scrub it onto your skin
  3. Rinse off properly

Please do not use it in case of massive outbreaks of acne because it can cause redness.

Also, it is not suitable for sensitive skin.

  • Clay Mask:
  1. Take 2 tablespoons of Fuller’s clay or Multani mitti and mix it with a few drops of lemon juice, turmeric powder, and rose water.
  2. Make a homogeneous paste and apply it to your face and neck.
  3. Don’t wait for it to harden up.
  4. Rinse off properly.

Supplements:

  1. Zinc
  2. Vitamin A

Excessive sugar:

Avoid excess of sugar and sugary products because most of the time it’s the sugar that triggers the acne.

Exfoliate Daily:

Exfoliation can help you get rid of bacteria and cleanse your pores and skin.

  1. Add 3 tsp of baking soda to 1 tablespoon of honey and mix well
  2. Apply it all over to your face and neck and let it sit for 20 minutes.
  3. Wet fingers and massage into circular motions.

Exercise:

Active bodies, adequate fresh air, less stress and proper sleep can really help in getting a clearer smoother and shiner skin.
