Multan Sultans is out from the PSL 2019

Multan Sultans a young franchise of Pakistan Super League continues to struggle in their second season as well. This time owners of the franchise changed but performance does not. In the third edition of PSL 2018, they were not able to be in top 4. In PSL 2019 they just won 2 matches out of 8 up till now. They are at the bottom of the Points table.

Multan Sultans is the most expensive team of Pakistan Super League among six of them. Ali Khan Tareen and Taimour Malik bought this franchise and they put some energy into it but all in vain. They came up with amazing team anthem “Waqt-e-Janoob” by legend Atta Ullah Khan eskhalvi. They came up with unique hashtags of #LetsPlaySaeen #Ab_waqt_janob_ka_hai and most popular #JanoobKiPehchaan.

Multan Sultans came up with a very balanced team this year with a couple of superstars like Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, and Andre Russel. But the reason behind their poor performance is somehow the lack of combination. At the same time, they remain unlucky as well in a couple of matches especially against playing Lahore Qalanders when David wise hit a six on the last ball. Multan Sultan was in a such a strong position and then Kerron Pollard hit 4 consecutive sixes to big man Mohammad Irfan and took everything from Sultans.

Let’s see how they will come up in the next edition of Pakistan Super League which is going to held in 2020.
