Pakistan Super League
The third and recent season of the Pakistan Super League ended in National Stadium Karachi. The final was between Islamabad United winning the championship for the second time. Islamabad United defeated Peshawar Zalmi, who won the second edition of PSL 2017 in Lahore.
In Pakistan Super League 3rd edition the two playoffs were played in Lahore’s Gaddafi stadium and final in Karachi.
We witnessed the best moments in Pakistan Super League up till now.
There are too many but the best one was a bat drop after hitting a six to Mohammad Sami in last over by Grant Elliott.
Players Who rocked PSL
Islamabad United topped the group table of Pakistan Super League 3 and their players also did the same. As an individual batting and bowling charts.
Luke Ronchi stands out with the bat!
Luke Ronchi, representing Islamabad United in PSL 3rd edition and playing his first PSL, was the top run-scorer with 435 runs at a strike-rate of 180+.
Trailing close behind Ronchi was Zalmi’s Kamran Akmal with 425 runs and on the third
Kamran Akmal scored the highest score in the single match, He scored 107 and that was the only century of the third edition of PSL.
As far as boundaries go, Kamran Akmal hit the highest number of sixes that is 28 and Luke Ronchi hit the most number of fours 51. Showing their consistency, Ronchi trailed Kamran Akmal in the maximum category and Akmal trailed Ronchi in the fours category.
The bowlers of PSL didn’t bow down
The bowling charts were also dominated by Islamabad United and Peshwar Zalmi. United’s Faheem Ashraf and Zalmi’s Wahab Riaz took the most wickets, bagging 18 wickets each.
Umar Gul, playing for the newcomers Multan Sultans, had the best bowling figures in the third edition. He took six wickets for 24 runs against the Quetta Gladiators.
