Relief for Deserving Families

During a high-level meeting on Thursday, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved the implementation of the Rehmat Card. This program focuses on providing a safety net for those who have lost their primary breadwinners. In its first phase, the government expects to reach more than 40,000 families. The help is designed to reach those most in need shortly after the festive season of Eid.

Easy Application Process

To ensure transparency and ease of access, the government is utilizing modern technology. Eligible widows and orphans can apply for the Rehmat Card through a dedicated mobile application or a web portal. For those without internet access, a call center and local Zakat offices are available to process applications. Each recipient under the scheme is set to receive Rs 25,000.

Empowerment and Independence

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized that Punjab’s resources belong to its citizens. She stated that the goal of the Rehmat Card is not just temporary relief but a move toward self-employment and financial stability. By providing these funds, the government hopes to help vulnerable families live with dignity and build a more secure future.

The Rehmat Card is part of a series of social protection initiatives by the current Punjab administration aimed at mitigating the impact of inflation on low-income households.
